Web 2.0 - Wiki's, Blogs, and Social Networking - Oh My!

 

 

The term Web 2.0 is often characterized in different ways. This presentation will give an introduction to the more frequently associated mediums like blogs, wikis, forums, micro-blogs, social navigation, and social networking. The intent of the presentation will be to give both a general introduction and useful information for both personal and professional usage.


 

Whit Tice has a varied educational background with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Evansville and two Masters Degrees from Case Western Reserve University (Master of Business Administration and Master of Science of Positive Organizational Development and Change). He is an organizational strategist that works with business strategy to help set the path forward and organizational development to drive implementation. He is a long time fan and holds a keen interest in the internet’s history and potential for large scale information usage. He has professionally worked on Web 2.0 related projects in large corporations like IBM and Boeing and small organizations like universities and small businesses. Whit grew up and currently lives in Seattle.

NOTE:  Since our meetings are planned, seated meals with fixed guarantees given to the hotel, late RSVP's and walk-ins are discouraged and may receive an alternate meal at the chef's discretion.  Late cancels and no-shows are billed.  Please contact Linda to make pre-payment arrangements for guests.
