Achieving certification through IAAP is the internationally recognized standard of excellence. IAAP offers the Certified Administrative Professional (CAP and CAP-OM) programs. This is a self-study certification program achieved through a two-day exam administered each May and November. There are four parts: Finance and Business Law, Office Systems and Administration, Management, and Organizational Planning. The exam is intensive and can require considerable study. Estimated study time ranges from 4 months to a year. The chapter has an ongoing study group and owns a variety of materials to assist in your studies.

We currently have an ongoing study group for certification!  If you would like to join the study group, please contact the Certification Committee; they will be happy to answer all of your certification questions.  They can be reached at aliceart52@frontier.com.

School starts this month…yikes, but we’re starting September 3rd for the November exams.  If you’re interested, please contact me via email at aliceart52@frontier.com or leave a message at 425.741.3786 with how to reach you and I will get back to you shortly.  Classes will be held on Saturdays beginning promptly at 9 a.m. and last until Noon.  I have new study materials to share with you all, so please let me know if you’re interested in taking the exams in November, 2011 or May, 2012 and if you’re going for your CAP or CAP-OM.

My goal is to help you achieve Certification by passing your exams.  You can do it and this method of interactively studying with peers has proven effective in helping candidates relate the materials to their working life and make the best choices to answer the exam questions. It’s fun and you get to make new friends.  Join me, won’t you?
